The Importance of Christmas

Christmas is known as a day when Jesus was born. That is true, but we forget the main reason why this day was made. God made Jesus to unite us through dying for all our sins. You might wonder where the unity comes from, but in reality Jesus died for all our sins — not for a specific group of people.

The function of Christmas is to unite the family, which is what everyone does during the festive season. We all go home where the family started to celebrate being together again. God always has a way to show his love to us. This is why we also need to love one another and why some of us give each other gifts, which was done when Jesus was born.

With all being said, I believe its better to have a “bad” Christmas without parties and gifts but being with family — than to have a “great” Christmas while the family worries about your safety and health. I guess we should put the family first during Christmas Day to show appreciation to God.
